Nice to meet you! *
Hi!!
Thanks for popping by my little corner of the internet and having a look at who I am and what I do.
If we go right back to the very, very beginning, I was always a little bit arty. I was definitely the girl who cared more about Art class than Maths, and Iβve always loved anything creative.
One of my first jobs was working in a newsagency at 14, which was pretty ideal for a girl who loved a free magazine and a good squiz through the beauty section of Cosmo. While I was working there, I was asked if Iβd be interested in learning how to face paint. A role had opened up at Dreamworld for a fairy face painter; and at 15, who wouldnβt want to work at Dreamworld?!
And that was pretty much the beginning of my love of painting faces.
By 16, I was running my own little face-painting business, with my amazing Mum driving me around to parties and markets, armed with my own ABN and business cards - all before Iβd even graduated high school.
So, doing a Makeup Diploma was a bit of a no-brainer. I completed that in 2012, and fast forward to now, Iβve got around 15 years of makeup experience under my belt.
Along the way, Iβve worked for Napoleon Perdis, managed a cosmetics department for a large pharmacy, and worked with hundreds of brides during my time with The Powder Room. These days, Iβm lucky enough to be working on weddings every week with Blush and Bangs.
But enough about the rΓ©sumΓ©β¦
What I really love is the creative side of makeup and, more importantly, making it feel like you. If you want to add glitter, I wonβt have to be asked twice. But if youβre all about beautiful skin, soft glam and a classic, effortless look, I love creating that just as much.
I want you to feel comfortable, looked after and completely yourself, just with really bloody good makeup.
Anyway, enough about me. I canβt wait to hear all about you, your plans and the look youβre dreaming about.
Lauren xx
